What an affiliate link is
Some links on this site are affiliate or referral links. If you click one and sign up for a product or make a purchase, York Ventures may receive a commission or referral bonus. This comes at no additional cost to you, and in many cases the offer you get is the same or better than going direct.
How this affects what I write
It doesn’t. I recommend products I use or would use myself, and I write about the downsides as readily as the upsides. If a card or service is a bad deal, I say so, whether or not there’s a commission attached. If I think the better option is one I earn nothing from, I’ll point you there.
Editorial opinions here are mine alone. No advertiser, card issuer, hotel group, or airline reviews or approves content before it’s published.
Where you’ll see disclosures
Pages and posts that contain affiliate links carry a disclosure near the top or directly alongside the link. The Recommendations page carries a standing disclosure at the top.
Accuracy of offers
Credit card terms, bonuses, and benefits change often and without notice. Offers mentioned on this site were accurate when published but may have changed since. Always confirm current terms on the issuer’s own page before applying. York Ventures is not responsible for outdated offer details.
